November 4 – Coffee Cupping with Rob Fitzgibbon

Got Coffee? Are you looking to get a little more out of your regular cup of Joe? With the cold weather right around the corner there’s nothing better than a great cup of hot coffee to fight off the chill! Join Essex local coffee aficionado, Rob Fitzgibbon, as he teaches the art of Coffee Cupping – the practice of observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee. Coffee has depths of flavor and a surprising range of tastes, sort of like wine. Participants will try a few different types of coffee in a low-key, interactive tasting and learn about mouthfeel, aroma, and taste using a flavor wheel and other teaching aids. Mr. Fitzgibbon is passionate about helping people gain more appreciation for the complexity and wonder of a drink that we typically take for granted in our daily life, making this a perfect program for coffee lovers of all kinds who’d like to get more out of a cup of coffee than just a caffeine jolt.

Saturday, Nov. 4th from 10:30am – 11:30am
