Autobiographical Comics Workshop for Tweens and Teens

Led by children’s illustrator/author Jonathan Todd, this workshop is a chance for tweens and teens to see what it’s like to be a graphic novelist! Older kids who aren’t quite tweens but love comics are also invited to attend.  Please arrive on time as we close at 5 p.m. and cannot extend the program’s run time.

Via Todd’s website, he says: “I share my approach to creating graphic narratives rooted in personal experiences, asking students to reflect upon meaningful moments in their lives and think of precise ways to express these memories—and their significance—in comics form.” All materials will be provided. The program will run for around 1-hour. Registration is required as space is limited.
