Kids Summer Reading 2025 Kick-Off Featuring Flying High Dogs

Join us  along with the Georgetown Peabody Library and the G.A.R. Memorial Library in W. Newbury for our 2025 Summer Reading Kick-Off! The Newbury Town Library is following the national Summer Reading theme of “Level Up.”  Come kick-off summer reading with Mike and his 4 flying high frisbee dogs. These Border Collies are the #1 dog entertainment act in the world!  They’re high flying, dynamic & thrilling! Mike is a world record holder and multiple time world finalist in K9 frisbee.  Meet these amazing Border Collies!

We will be handing out Summer Reading packets at this event. Packets feature Summer Reading resources for kids and caregivers, bookmarks, a museum voucher, and reading logs. We are so excited for another summer of our popular Read and Bead! You will track your reading in 20-minute increments. There is an easy sheet with stickers to track your progress. When you have completed your sheet, bring it to the NTL and we will trade it for beads. Each bead = 20 minutes of reading. How many necklaces can you make this summer?

**This will be an outdoor event to allow everyone to attend! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, yoga mats, whatever to sit on!**
