Today’s theme was FROGS!! We read about frogs, sang a silly song or two about frogs, and created a frog pet out of pompoms, googly eyes, party blowouts, and green paper cups. Some of the vocab words from the stories listed below are: FROG, BOG, BIGGER, SMALLER, SWAMP, SWIM AND FLY. Below is information from this story time, including the books we read and the songs we sand in case you want to try any of this out at home.

SONGS:
5 Speckled Frogs
Five little speckled frogs
Sat on a great big log
Eating the most delicious bugs
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four speckled frogs.
(Each verse is then repeated, but with one fewer frog each time.)
Ending “Then there were no more speckled frogs”

Little Green Frog
Mm, Mm went the little green frog one day,
Mm, Mm went the little green frog,
Mm, Mm went the little green frog one day,
And they all went Mm, Mm, Aahh!
But!
We all know frogs go, Lahdeedahdeedah!
We all know frogs go, Lahdeedahdeedah!
We all know frogs go, Lahdeedahdeedah!
They don’t go Mm, Mm, Aahh!
